January 6, 2009 by Dirk Steele

The wildly popular, Ski Doo snowmobiles are manufactured by the Canadian, Bombardier Company. Since Armand Bombardier, designed his first snowmobile in 1937, this company has led the way in snowmobile design and innovation with its Ski Doo models of snowmobiles. The Ski Doo sleds have become so popular that many people refer to all makes of snowmobiles as Ski Doos, even though there are three other snowmobile manufacturers producing quality sleds.

January 6, 2009 by Dirk Steele

Hopefully you have done enough research to enable you to pick the proper machine for your kid. Hopefully you were able to resist his desire for a big powerful engine. You also have to go and buy a jacket, gloves, pants and boots.

Hopefully you also got a good neck brace, now what about the most important piece of equipment he/she will ever use while riding this wild and ferocious machine? The crash helmet.

Making Movies With Your Digital Camera

January 12, 2009 by April Andersen

Even if you did not get a cam corder for the holidays you can still have holiday movies. If you have a digital camera and a computer you can create some great home movies. I have the windows vista and this is what program I use to make the movies. I'm not sure if all computers have the same program but I would think that they have a program that is similar.

Never Tell a Lie by Hallie Ephron - Book Review

January 13, 2009 by April Andersen

You will never look at a garage sale the same again after reading Never Tell A Lie.

David and his pregnant wife, Ivy, decide to hold a garage sale as a means of getting rid of items left in the attic by the previous owner of their home. Melinda, who is someone from their high school past, stops by at the sale. David and Ivy did not recognize her because she looked the complete opposite of what she looked like back in high school. Melinda was not very popular back then and the way she looked now was quite an improvement. It happens that Melinda is pregnant too.

The Servant's Tale by Margaret Frazer

January 2, 2009 by April Andersen

My favorite part of The Servant's Tale, the second installment in Frazer's excellent Dame Frevisse series, is when a member of a traveling troupe of players quotes a line from Geoffrey Chaucer, which contains an expletive, to a nun. He immediately apologizes but Dame Frevisse is not offended. When she tells him of her connection to the great author, the player is stunned. It's moments like these that make reading Frazer so enjoyable.

The Alibi - Written by Sandra Brown

January 7, 2009 by April Andersen

Davee Pettijohn was too happy for a woman whose husband had just been found murdered in a hotel room. Lute Pettijohn was a very well known figure about Charlestown who was known to be involved in many unlawful activities. Davee and Lute were also well known as straying from their marriage many times and both knew this fact. Hammond Cross is a county prosecutor who has high hopes of his present boss recommending him to be the next head prosecutor upon his retirement.

Nemesis by Jo Nesbo Book Review

January 14, 2009 by April Andersen

Nemesis begins with a startling surprise and does not let up throughout the 500 pages in this book. During a bank robbery, the manager is given only twenty-five seconds to fill a bag with money. The bag was not full within the twenty-five seconds and the hostage was executed.

Police Detective Harry Hole is called in to do the investigation. The bank robberies continue and Beate Lonn joins Harry in the investigation. The one thing that makes this investigator a special addition to this case is the fact that Beate never forgets a face.

Spenser Doesn't Miss a Beat in Hundred Dollar Baby

January 9, 2009 by April Andersen

Spenser, the protagonist of Robert B. Parker's classic detective series, should be about 70 years old. But a few years back, Parker decided to stop aging him. He's older, maybe a little slower, but Spenser is just as tough, brave and sarcastic as ever in Hundred Dollar Baby, Parker's 34th installment of the series.

Antiques Maul by Barbara Allan

January 8, 2009 by April Andersen

When I started writing, another author with good intentions told me that parentheses should rarely be used "as in never". But Barbara Allan makes frequent and liberal use of them in her funny story Antiques Maul with hilarious results. I liked the novel as a comedy but not as a mystery.
