Kuranda Offers Visitors An Interesting View Of The Creatures That Inhabit The Tropical North Queensland

June 16, 2010 by articliclewriter1

There are several diverse things to see and do throughout the Tropical North Queensland, but a visit to Kuranda can prove to be very informative for people that have an interest in the creatures of this astonishing region.  There are a couple of areas that will be of significant interest to you if you are one such individual and they are the Australian Butterfly Sanctuary and the Kuranda Wildlife Park .  Each of these venues are instructive and magnificent.

Situated right in the heart of the village of Kuranda is this stimulating butterfly aviary park that's the largest in Australia .  It's a place where you can see both the common and the unique and while it may seem a bit anticlimactic to observe docile creatures such as these you will in all probability discover that it's much more enthralling than you expected.

This phenomenal butterfly sanctuary opened its doors to the public in 1987 and has had over a million different visitors since then.  Guided tours are readily available to help you find out more about the various species of butterflies as well as their unique lifestyles and behaviors.  Over one thousand five hundred spectacular butterflies are housed in this location and contribute to an amazing assortment of colors for the eyes.

Butterflies are not the only creatures that you will encounter while in Kuranda, as this is also the spot of the Rainforestation Nature Park .  This park is located on 100 acres of the rainforest and enables visitors to come and experience Koalas and Kangaroos as well as many other creatures in this Kuranda Wildlife Park.  It is a incredible adventure for the entire family to come and explore the wildlife of Australia in the natural rainforest environment.

There are several other things to do and see in Kuranda such as the Kuranda Market, the Skyrail and of course the Scenic Railway.  All of these are just some of the sights and adventures that you can enjoy while staying in the Tropical North Queensland.

With so many exceptional cairns hotels to decide on, how do you know which cairns accommodation is more suitable for you. One thing that you can do to select is to take a look at www.tropicalnorthqueensland.com.au.
